Endurant Premium (P+)
Ultra-concentrated paint that provides an eye-popping, lively, deep, rich green, slightly darker in color than Endurant PR. Often the top choice for bentgrass, fescue, bluegrass, bermuda, rye, and centipede. Can be used on brown grass or to enhance the existing color of green grass. 1 gallon.
Endurant Perennial Rye (PR)
Formulated to match the deep saturated green of Perennial Rye grass. It is a natural, subtle tone that provides excellent coverage. Common usages include St. Augustine, zoysia, centipede, and ryegrass. Can be used on fully brown turf or to enhance the existing color of green grass. 1 gallon.
Endurant Turf Enhancer (TE)
The only colorant that is a full pigment and a favorite for golf courses and sport fields. Made specifically for use on actively growing grasses; exclusively used on grass that is still green with chlorophyll. Bright lime green color gives the grass an extra wow factor, enhancing the existing color. Not intended for fully brown grass. Mixes well with other products and is often used as an indicator dye with added benefits. 1 gallon.
Endurant Flex (FX)
A hybrid colorant, combining the staying power of paint with the affordability of highly concentrated organic pigment. Ideal for transitions, including transitioning between grass species (such as during overseeding), or when transitioning in our out of growth stages. Preferred choice when chlorophyll levels and naturally occurring green color of grass are fluctuating. 32 oz. or 1 gallon
Endurant Spray N Stay Binder
Endurant Spray n Stay is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, water-based binder applied for optimal adhesion of Endurant organic pigments to turfgrass. Spray n Stay is often used in sports applications or wherever there is expected to be high friction or high foot traffic on turf grass. Spray n Stay provides even stronger staying power for the Endurant turf paint application. Spray n Stay can be used in a mix with Endurant turf paint and applied simultaneously or applied separately after the Endurant turf paint application has dried. 1 gallon
Choosing the Best Endurant Product for Your Grass
Determining which shade of Endurant Turf Colorant is best can be a matter of personal preference and grass type. Most will have preferences toward specific shades and generally select the shade that coordinates best with their natural turfgrass color.
There is no correct answer. You may use any of the colors on any grass species. However, some coordinate best with certain species and with either warm or cool-season grasses.
Warm season grasses that go dormant and brown in the winter require an Endurant grass paint to cover the brown grass. These include Endurant Premium (P+) and Endurant Perennial Rye (PR). However, Endurant Premium and Endurant Perennial Rye can also be used on actively growing grass and cool season varieties as well.
Endurant Premium is a rich, dark tone and is a bit darker than the Endurant Perennial Rye.
Endurant Premium is typically recommended for Bermuda grasses and Zoysia. Endurant Perennial Rye is usually the most natural choice for St. Augustine grass and Centipede grass. However depending on the desired shade, either Endurant Perennial Rye and Endurant Premium can be used interchangeably on warm season grasses.
Cool season grasses that stay green in the winter months can be painted for added color and if it goes off color in the summer months due to stress. Cool season grasses can be colored with either Endurant paints (like P+ or PR) or with Endurant pigments, like Endurant Turf Enhancer (TE) or Endurant Flex (Fx) to minimize the use of chemicals and fertilizer, reduce toxic runoff, and to save money on water, labor, and chemicals.
Endurant Turf Enhancer (TE), a pigment, adds color to grass that is actively growing. It is ideal for turf that has some naturally occurring color but could use a pop of added springtime green. Do not use Endurant Turf Enhancer on completely brown or dormant turf.
If grass is going dormant and you’re overseeding, Endurant Flex (Fx) is likely your best choice. Flex was created for transition zones, whether transitioning between grass species, seasons, or in a transition zone, Endurant Flex provides ideal coverage. Endurant Flex is a hybrid colorant, combining the staying power of paint with the affordability of a pigment.
Endurant Premium is typically the closest shade to Fescue, Bentgrass, Bluegrass.
Ryegrass, which is often used to overseed, can be painted with any color, depending on the shade desired. The best method for choosing a color for Ryegrass is to consider the current color and decide how much you want to add to it. Perennial Rye is a moderate shade of green; Premium is a bit darker and is one of the most versatile shades of Endurant.
Color choice is largely reflective of what you like. Some love the look of dark green, while others prefer a lighter, more yellow shade of green. Multiple options may work well for your specific type of grass.
